A traditional American pastime will once again be enjoyed by residents and guests on Thursday, March 30, 2023 as Amblebrook Gettysburg hosts its 3rd Annual Major League Baseball Opening Day Celebration from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Rock Creek Clubhouse. Residents and guests will enjoy watching their favorite teams on the Clubhouse’s big screen TVs. Attendees are encouraged to wear their favorite team’s apparel while watching the games and will enjoy traditional ballpark fare throughout the afternoon. Ballpark fare will include 100% beef and plant based hot dogs (cooked on the new outdoor Great Lawn grills), popcorn, potato chips, peanuts, nachos and lemonade. Attendees can also BYOB. Residents are requested to bring finger desserts such as brownies, cookies, etc. The MLB Opening Day Celebration will also include baseball trivia questions (prizes for correct answers) and baseball themed movies in the Sage Theatre. Residents are welcome and encouraged to bring MLB baseball memorabilia to display such as baseball cards, autographed baseballs, photos, programs, pennants, hats and other collectors items.
