A Silent Book Club is a gathering of readers who come together once or twice a month to read in silence with others. You can read any book you wish. There will be a short greeting and socialization before a 1-hour silent period, followed by 15 minutes of socialization. We will gather in the lounge/sitting area of Rock Creek Club House on Thursday, December 11 @ 3 PM. Coffee and Tea is available at the bar area. Come try out this new club that some call a book club for introverts, but others think of it as a book club for the reader who doesn’t want the pressure of reading an assigned book or talking about it in public, but who enjoys being in the company of other readers.
If you are interested, please register on the Portal and come with your favorite book to read. You can learn more about the Silent Book Club history at this link: https://silentbook.club. You can also reach out to Dave Liddle if you have any questions: [email protected].
