As Sgt Friday used to say “Just the facts please.”
While one issue should not be the main deciding factor in the way we vote in an election, voters need to know all the facts about issues. In today’s world we do not get ALL the facts concerning an issue, just “sound bites”. One issue is whether the United States should stay in NATO. Please join David Scott on April, 2024 for a “just the facts” presentation which examines whether we as a nation should continue being a member of NATO, an organization the United States started in 1949. The presentation will use the bi partisan United States Senate Foreign Relations Committee statement of our countries “National Interests” for attendees to access for themselves whether continuing to be a member of NATO is something we should or should not do. The presentation will also access whether NATO nations are sufficiently funding their defense and the war in the Ukraine. Mr. Scott gave this presentation recently to the TED Talks group and it was received as very informative.
Mr. Scott, an Amblebrook resident, represented the United States as member of the U.S. Military Delegation to NATO on various committees and working groups for seven years. He holds a masters degree in “National Security Decision Making” from the U.S. Naval War College, Newport R.I.
